A Night of Horror International Film Festival

- 22/03/2012
What began as an idea for a one-night event (hence the festival's name) now spans for 9 days, and includes 15 feature films and over 70 shorts and music videos, along with special international guests, parties, a filmmaking forum, and a screenplay competition.
We are delighted with the quality and range of films in this year's program: from supernatural chillers and monster movies, through zombie films and Lovecraftian adaptations, to twisted tales of murder, torture and revenge! While there will always be some self-appointed guardians of public taste who seem to take a perverse glee in denigrating the genre (one suspects that this originates from their own psychological maladjustments), horror cinema continues to thrive. This year's program demonstrates the diversity, shocking originality and complex themes that it has to offer. But the genre also appeals at a deeper level: People will always want to sit in the dark and be scared, and sometimes enlightened, by films that explore the shadowy depths of the psyche.
To everyone who supports the festival - from our sponsors and venues, through the press and our volunteers, to the filmmakers and festival audience - we offer our profound thanks.
