    Gerard Mack has been a professional violinist, composer arranger and conductor throughout his career. He performs regularly as a violinist, violist, and guitarist in many different ensembles over a variety of genres. He studied music at the University Of Melbourne, and later a Postgraduate of Composition majoring in film and TV composition, in 2002.Gerard has credits as the composer, sound designer, dialogue edit, music edit, foley, ADR, sound scape and final mix for some thirty short films. Gerard has also composed  for ads on radio and TV as well as drama productions and dance festivals. In the past Gerard has been the subject of a TV Telstra advertisement commercial which documented the "telstra LearnIT " an performing arts and technology grant he won. He has been the musical director for musicals, operettas and stage shows as well as also conducting orchestras and choirs. He also worked as an orchestrator, orchestrating a medley of music for the West Australian Symphony Orchestra and the celebrated Australian rock band the "Little River Band" to perform live on stage with WASO in 2003. Gerard was nominated to participate in the Young Conductor of the year program with ABC and the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra in 2000.At present Gerard Mack has just finished sound design and music composition six short films for the 2012 Tropfest film festival and is getting ready to score his first feature film in the new year.
