Black Cat

March 1942, the Japanese war machine invades South East Asia, crushing all before it.
Facing death or capture, a rescued U.S. fighter pilot and the crew of an Australian Catalina flying boat, team up to evacuate nine orphans and their French school teacher to Australia before the arrival of the Japanese onslaught.
Presence Films is looking for Writers and Researchers to crowd source development of this project.
We seek your knowledge and expertise.
The roles for research and writing are diverse.
Writers and Researchers will be contributing to:
- Character profiles
- Action scenes
- Cultural advice
- Review
- Etc
We seek people with an interest and knowledge of:
- Early 1940's Dutch East Indies culture, fashion, architecture, politic, both Dutch and indigenous Javanese
- Early WW2 aviation especially RAAF Cats, U.S fighters and Japanese Naval aviation and aviators such as Saburo Sakai
- French culture of the period, especially music, fashion, thinking
- Dutch military culture in the Dutch East Indies
No one Writer or Researcher need know everything. You can specialise in any area and contribute.
An outline for this project will be released later in January.

This project and our approach to development allows you to contribute when you can, what you can and be credited for that. The project will go online as a graphic novel first and the team and their contribution will be viewable online at the same time.
Team members from anywhere in Australia or the world may contribute and liaise with the team via Skype video.
